On the other hand, if you are a man, you can experience the pain of yeast infection, too. A man can become infected by having unprotected sex with a woman who is currently suffering with a vaginal yeast infection. He could experience extreme itching and redness on his penis as well as discharge and pain during intercourse. Very similar symptoms to that of his partner occur.

Thrush, a yeast infection of the mouth, can result in sores on the tongue and inside the cheeks. It is advised that you not pick at these sores as they can get worse and begin to bleed.
